The Vice President of the Democratic Party has urged Albanian immigrants in Greece to vote in the May 11 parliamentary elections.
In a speech given during the Democratic Party rally in Athens, Gjekmarkaj addressed the Albanians of Greece, telling them that their vote will bring change to Albania.
He stated that the Albanian world has stopped its enthusiasm due to the current government, adding that the DP has a clear mission. Gjekmarkaj considered the vote as an opportunity to close the wounds caused by Edi Rama's government, emphasizing that it is time to remove the dictator and restore democracy.
"Today the Albanian world has stopped its enthusiasm in this hall. The agora of democracy is buzzing in Albanian. They have only one desire: "Make Albania great again". Albania has been holding on to your work for years. Today, votes are being sought as a balm for the wounds caused by Edi Rama. Your eternal Ithaca is there. On May 11, we must remove the expeller of Albanians, Edi Rama.
"The vote for the DP is for change. Berisha is here for a covenant, to overthrow dictatorships and restore democracy. Trust his history. Victory and only victory on May 11 ," said Gjekmarkaj.
