Saimir Korreshi, candidate for deputy on the closed list in the Fier Region from the Democratic Party, spoke about the May 11 elections.
He stated that the situation is much different than 4 years ago for the Democratic Party, while emphasizing that it will change even more in favor of the Democrats as the elections approach.
" My principle is if you haven't shaken someone's hand, don't ask for their hand. We did a door-to-door campaign in 2021 and we expect to do it again this time. Polls show that the DP is 3.7 percent higher than 4 years ago and the best is yet to come. We are a little late because the opponent pays the patronage workers with citizens' money, they are employed in the administration. However, the Democrats are there and will be at every door ," Korreshi told 'A2 CNN'.
Further, he added that he does not see any problem with Lulzim Basha's party this time.
"I no longer see them as a concern, like 4 years ago. I don't think the DP will have any major difficulties in this regard ," he added.
Regarding the Fier district, where he is also running, Korreshi said he expects an 8-8 result with the SP.
