The Democratic Party has announced the filing of a complaint with SPAK against the head of this structure, prosecutor Altin Dumani.
The DP, through a media release, says that in addition to filing a complaint against Dumani, it will also request information regarding SPAK's investigations into the complaint against Edi Rama and former US FBI agent Charles McGonigal.
"Tomorrow, October 13, at 11:00, in my capacity as the Chairperson of the Appeal and Statute Evaluation Committee of the Democratic Party, I will make a statement to the media before SPAK and where I will submit:
1. Criminal charges against Altin Dumani, because there are reasonable suspicions related to the disappearance of the McGonigal file, as long as even after 4 requests, he refuses to respond, thus consuming the criminal offenses: "Abuse of office", "Arbitrary actions" and "Actions that impede the discovery of the truth".
2. Fifth request with the purpose:
- Provision of information regarding the procedural phase of the SPAK investigations regarding the complaint against Edi Rama etc., for the McGonigal case dated 21.03.2025.
I would like to inform you that the report, and this fifth request, will be forwarded to the US Embassy accredited in Albania as well as to the US Senate and Congress.
