"Rama hides state expenses to cover up thefts", Berisha: He is keeping the treasury secret

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has accused Prime Minister Rama of hiding public spending to cover up theft and abuse of citizens' taxes.

Berisha recalls that since 2009, every treasury expenditure was published online, as part of a global initiative against corruption.

According to him, the decision to keep this data secret is a step backward and an attempt to hide abuses of public funds.

"Albania has had every treasury expenditure online since 2009. This was within the framework of a global initiative to fight corruption. Rama now decides to secrete his expenses with Albanian taxes, just to cover up monstrous thefts and abuses!", writes Berisha.
