Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi, congratulated Kosovo on the 18th anniversary of its declaration of Independence with special messages.
Rama has shared on social networks a photo album from the visit he made the day before in Pristina, while stating that he cannot be present at the popular march in support of the four former KLA leaders in The Hague.
"Good morning, and with the photo album of my visit to Pristina yesterday, I wish Kosovo a happy independence with the regret that I cannot be present today at the popular manifestation of solidarity with the four KLA hostages in the hell of international (in)justice in The Hague ," the prime minister writes.
Meanwhile, Peleshi, in his message, expresses pride and respect for this historical moment of the Albanian nation.
" Kosovo Independence Day is a historic day of freedom, dignity and justice, symbolizing sacrifice and determination for state-building and a Euro-Atlantic future."
"Happy Independence, Kosovo! May you always be free and blessed ," says Peleshi.
