The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has reacted to the arrest of five Serbs in Kosovo, under charges of war crimes.
In a press conference this Saturday, Vucic described this action as a deliberate provocation.
"They are trying to provoke every Serbian house, so that every Serbian house knows that it does not dare to stay in the territory of Kosovo. It is a miserable silence of the internationals and the Western world, who claim that they are not seeing what is happening", declared the Serbian leader in a press conference on Saturday afternoon.
He also criticized the attitude of the QUINT countries, saying that they will only make vague statements against the actions and then remain silent.
Vucic also announced that he will hold talks with EU and US representatives the next day.
The Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo reported this Saturday that after several months of investigation, it has arrested five Serbs suspected of war crimes.
According to the investigators, the arrested persons are suspected of having committed a series of crimes against Albanian civilians in April 1999, in several villages of the Municipality of Gjilan, including murder, injury, burning, kidnapping and torture.
