The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced the purchase of Bayraktar TB-2 drones from Turkey, but did not indicate their number.
With the purchase of drones, Kurti estimated that Kosovo is now even safer.
On Sunday, he congratulated the officers who completed the training on the use of drones.
"We have added Bayraktar TB-2 drones to the arsenal of our army, which we bought as a government from Turkey! In two years of governance, we have increased the number of soldiers by over 80% and the budget for the army by over 100%. Kosovo is now even safer than always proud! With the Commander of the KSF Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari and the Minister of Defense Armend Mehaj, we congratulated the officers who completed the training on the use of drones", wrote Kurti on Facebook.
The purchase of Bayraktar drones from Kosovo has been discussed since the end of last year.
Serbia has warned Turkey that if it sells Bayraktar drones to Kosovo, it would affect relations between the two states.
