German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in a conversation with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, called for Kosovo to take concrete steps in establishing the association.
Scholz has also emphasized the importance of the dialogue with Pristina and Belgrade with the mediation of the EU, as well as the full implementation of the Ohrid agreement.
Earlier, the diplomats called on the government of Kosovo to suspend the regulation of the Central Bank and to give time to the affected citizens to adapt to the new situation.
US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien said last week that Kosovo should take concrete steps towards the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority municipalities.
Also, French President Emmanuel Macron, after a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has emphasized "the importance of the development by the Kosovo authorities towards the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in the framework of efforts for its membership in the Council of Europe".
