The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has again called on the head of the government, Albin Kurti, to take steps forward regarding the issue of the Serbian dinar.
She did not comment on the invitation of the EU envoy, Miroslav Lajčak, to Kosovo and Serbia to discuss the dinar issue, but added that this is an issue that could be resolved in Kosovo and should never cause disagreements between Kosovo. and its allies.
" About the invitation to Brussels, I believe you can ask the deputy prime minister himself, who is the chief negotiator himself, what the invitation is for. I think that these issues can be resolved in Kosovo when there is a will and they are issues which, as you said, should never cause disagreements. As I said earlier, sometimes it is the lack of communication that causes them, but I am convinced that they will be resolved", she said in a statement to the media after the opening of the regional conference. I am convinced that if there is a will that lasts a few hours, all the relevant institutions can sit down, implement this CBK regulation in practice and come up with concrete steps based on the laws that exist in the Republic of Kosovo and get the support of our allies that, as you know, if this issue is not resolved in time, further problems may arise ", she said, reports 'Koha'.
Osmani stated that in the face of Serbia's aggression, Kosovo needs international partners. According to her, the constitution and allies are issues that cannot exclude each other.
Osmani said that Kosovo is a country that is naturally a consolidated and developed democracy, but according to her, there are still major security problems.
"On the border we have a state that every day aims at aggression towards Kosovo, that every day aims even today, 25 years after the war, to kill our citizens, as we saw with the killing of our hero Afrim Bunjaku. In these challenges we need our allies, we need our partners not only to thank them for what they have done in the past but also as a vision for what we need in the future. If we want to succeed on the way forward, we must do so with more allies. Kosovo cannot even have a lasting success without the cooperation and support of the allies, so the constitution and the allies do not exclude each other ", Osmani declared.
It has been criticized for the lack of balance in the dialogue process. According to her, it is not right to continue with dialogue when one party is sanctioned while the other is not.
" The dialogue process has been mostly damaged by the lack of balance in this dialogue, where one side, in this case Kosovo, is under completely unfair measures, while Serbia, despite the act of aggression, has not suffered a single measure, this alone harms the dialogue but at the same time encourages Serbia to continue with destabilizing actions in our region but in broader terms in broader relations with our friends I encourage all the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and everyone who deals with politics to do if only we consider these relations, especially with the USA, the United Kingdom and the EU countries that have always stood by us, not only as important but as existential for the success of our country ", said Osmani.
