The panel of judges against the former leaders of the KLA who are being tried in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague has decided that Rexhep Selim's detention will be continued.
The court found that there is still a risk that the defendant Rexhep Selimi will obstruct the progress of the process or commit other criminal offenses against those who are considered to be against the Kosovo Liberation Army.
"It includes the witnesses who have given evidence, may give evidence in this court case or who are expected to appear in court", says the decision of The Hague.
After the continuation of detention for Rexhep Selim, the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo in The Hague gave the same measure to Jakup Krasniqi. According to the decision, he was asked to continue the measure of detention, since there is no change in the circumstances since the previous decision.
This while Krasniqi's defense has requested his release, asserting that now three years after his initial detention, any remaining danger identified by the panel is insufficient to justify the continuation of detention.
