The head of PDK meets with Lajçak, Krasniqi: I asked him to influence the lifting of EU sanctions against Kosovo

The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, as part of his official visit to Brussels, today held a meeting with the special envoy Miroslav Lajçak, who discussed the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

In a reaction on Facebook, Krasniqi said that the latest political developments in Kosovo and the dialogue process were discussed, including the proposed draft statute of the Association.

Krasniqi emphasized that he has reiterated to the emissary Lajçak his position and that of the PDK that the Association's statute should be in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, should not create a new level of power and should not have executive powers.

Likewise, Krasniqi said that he has asked Lajcak to influence the European Union to remove the unjust sanctions against the Republic of Kosovo as soon as possible.
