On Sunday morning, a Kosovo policeman and four Serbs were killed in the village of Banjské. The three bodies of the Serbs were found on the same day, while the fourth one a day later.
The three killed Serbs are:
- Igor Milenkovic (50 years old) was a father of two children and worked as an ambulance driver at the Clinical and Hospital Center of Mitrovica, Kosovo.
- Stefan Nedeljkovic (31 years old) was from Zvecan.
- Bojan Mijailovic , who also died yesterday, became a father a few months ago.
According to the latest data, one of the wounded Serbs who underwent an operation in Pristina is in a stable condition, the University Clinical Center of Kosovo said.
What happened on Sunday, September 24?
A member of the Kosovo Police was killed and 3 were injured in clashes with an armed group in the north of the country.
Sergeant Bunjaku was killed in the ambush that the armed group took early in the morning at the entrance to the village of Banjské in Zveçan. During the exchange of fire, 2 other policemen were injured.
Then the armed group of 30 members was placed in the monastery of Banjska where for hours, throughout the whole day on Sunday, shots were exchanged with the police.
In the evening, the interior minister of Kosovo declared that 4 attackers were killed, while six other people, who were suspected to be related to them, were arrested.
