The former KLA fighter, Meçan Zotaj, has stated that the attack in the north of Kosovo was a state organization.
According to him, Serbia had planned for this attack on the Kosovo police to happen and then KFOR would enter. Zotaj said that they would like to continue to incite the masses, saying that even though they killed 1, 2 or 3 policemen, nothing happened to them.
"The ambush that took place in the morning against the Kosovo police was organized. They were wrong in their math, they thought they could kill one, two or three policemen and KFOR will get in the middle to create space for them to continue and go out and instigate the next measure, which is here we killed him, nothing happened to us.

Zotaj further added that Serbia wants war and that the Kosovo police must be very vigilant.
"We have won a battle started by them, but I think the war is not over. Serbs think they should be superior in the Balkans and do not want to accept defeat, they will always try to find other ways to wash away the shame.
The Kosovo police must be very vigilant, as there is a strong possibility that the gendarmerie will be framed as a specialized force of Serbia to achieve some kind of equalization of defeat.
The terrain in the north of Mitrovica is very suitable for any kind of organization similar to the one the Serbs are doing. KFOR is an observer, of course the information to the Kosovo police came before the event happened", said Meçan Zotaj.
