The envoy of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, has told about his agenda this week.
He also mentioned the meeting in Bratislava with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislim, which ended with the Kosovo-EU agreement, where Kosovo agreed on measures to de-escalate the situation in the North of Kosovo.
In continuation of this process, the EU emissary announced a meeting between Kosovo and Serbia at the level of negotiators, Bislimi and Petar Petkovic.
This is a step that would bring Kosovo and Serbia back to the negotiating table after secession due to tensions in the north.
" I informed both of them about the regional situation, the necessary steps for de-escalation and the return to dialogue facilitated by the EU. Both countries are important partners in the Western Balkans. I am grateful for their support in my work and I look forward to our continued cooperation ", Lajçak wrote on Facebook, among other things.
