
The presentation of evidence by the defense at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague for former KLA leader Hashim Thaçi has officially concluded.
The defense began presenting its evidence on September 15, where for three consecutive days, former Assistant Secretary of State James Rubin was heard, followed by former legal advisor to the Albanian delegation in Rambouillet, Paul Williams.
The former political advisor to NATO's top commander, Wesley Clark, John Stewart Duncan, followed on September 30 with the testimony of James Peter Covey, former deputy UN representative in Kosovo, Bernard Kouchner, then, former US diplomat Christopher Hill began, Wesley Clark's former political advisor, Michael Durkee, to conclude with the testimony of General Clark himself who concluded on November 18, 2025.
In support of former KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague, four protests have been held in Pristina, The Hague, Tirana and Strasbourg, while the next one is expected to be held in Skopje.
Meanwhile, the prosecution completed its presentation of evidence on April 15, 2025.
The last dates for submitting the files with conclusions from both parties are February 9 to 13 in The Hague, after which the trial panel withdraws and takes up to 90 days to announce the decision.
After this case, former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi faces another charge, that of obstruction of justice.
Along with him, the former head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Bashkim Smakaj, the former mayor of Malisheva, Isni Kilaj, Fadil Fazliut and the former Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuçi, are also facing the same charge.
