The trial for the macabre murder of Liridona Ademaj continues. In the session that is still being held, Naim Murseli has faced witnesses, including his brother-in-law, Leonard.
An unusual moment occurred when Naimi, accused of organizing the murder of his wife, addressed Leonard himself with the question: "I have a question for Leonard. In 13 years of marriage, has your sister ever complained about me or our relationship?"
Leonardi responded by saying: "No, she didn't complain... except a few months before the incident. She was very affected by Naimi's affair with a relative. But she had resolved it herself and we didn't object."
At the end of the questions, Naim Murseli referred to the two motives mentioned in the indictment and asked Ademaj which he believed to be the most likely.
"In the indictment, the prosecutor mentions two motives: one that has to do with finances and supposedly with life insurance - which nothing is known about that life insurance or what the conditions are. The other motive that is said is that Liridona has allegedly betrayed me. Which motive does Leonard Ademaj believe?", asked Murseli.
Ademaj responded by saying that "you told your dad at home that 'I took out insurance for Liridona that if she finds something, we will benefit a lot and the children will be insured'."
"You yourself said the motive that Liridona allegedly betrayed you, she did not. As for the insurance, you know better, because you did it for her, not for yourself. I also know well when you told your father at home that 'I took out insurance for Liridona that if she finds something, we will benefit a lot and the children will be insured'. Apart from the version of betrayal, I fully believe the other two versions," he said.
The statement shed light on a dark episode in the couple's marriage, which, according to testimony, had left an emotional mark on the victim, just a few months before the tragic crime.
