The counting of diaspora votes in Kosovo has brought changes to the current projection of the distribution of mandates in the Assembly.

According to preliminary data published by the Central Election Commission (CEC), so far about 4% of the votes received from the diaspora have been counted, influencing the distribution of parliamentary seats.

The Vetëvendosje Movement has won an additional mandate, increasing its number of seats to 49 in the Kosovo Assembly. On the other hand, the Democratic League of Kosovo has lost one seat, reducing its number to 19.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo maintains its projection of 24 mandates, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo continues to hold 8 seats in the legislature.

The process of counting diaspora votes continues and the final results may bring further changes to the composition of the Assembly.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that it plans to announce the final results of the June 7 snap parliamentary elections on June 26, and to certify them by July 6.
