The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has arrived in Brussels for the meeting with the leaders of the EU and the Western Balkans within the framework of the EU-Western Balkans Summit.
During her speech before the start of the meeting, Osmani said that she is very happy to be in Brussels and to represent a state that has harmonized its policy 100% with every EU decision related to foreign policy and that Kosovo will continue to act in the same way.
"I am very happy to be here, to discuss with the leaders of the EU and the region how we can move the region forward. I am very happy to represent a country that is 100% with every EU decision related to foreign and security policy and we will continue to act in this way to protect common values", said Vjosa Osmani.
Osmani also said that he traveled to Brussels with a number of messages, as he represents the people of Kosovo. She requested that the EU immediately remove the measures against Kosovo as they are unfair and are directly affecting the lives of the citizens of Kosovo.
Osmani added that Kosovo has met all the conditions for peace.
"I came here with a number of messages, representing the Kosovars, first to call on the EU leaders to immediately remove the disproportionate and unfair measures, because Kosovo has taken all the measures to de-escalate the situation and I believe that the EU should remove those measures because they are harming the citizens of Kosovo. We are talking about projects for drinking water, waste management and projects that directly affect their lives" , said President Osmani.
