The murder of Liridona, one of the most tragic cases in Kosovo after the war, will be investigated by the Serbian prosecutor, Javorka Perlinčevič.
The case has been assigned to the Serbian prosecutor, as in the initial phase it was investigated by prosecutor Besa Limani, who is expected to retire soon. Journalist Vullnet Krasniqi said in an interview for "Good Morning Albanians" that the case passed to this prosecutor only on the basis of ranking.
" It is disturbing how this serious case of such importance has been left in the hands of a prosecutor who is expected to retire very soon. This shows the frivolity in Kosovo with which the prosecution has handled this. This case has been passed to the Serbian prosecutor based on the ranking, after some previous discussion about who is the most capable. The investigation file so far has been made in the Albanian language, we do not know how long it will take for the prosecutor to become familiar with the case. The case will be tried in Pristina and the Serbian prosecutor will be accompanied by the translator" , said the journalist.
The journalist also said that prosecutor Perlinçeviq has not had any big public case in her career.
However, from the cases handled by this prosecutor, it is worth highlighting the murder of a person in the underpass in Pristina. There, a suspect, after a physical attack, had pushed the victim down the stairs, who died from the blows. The Serbian prosecutor described the crime as "Murder by negligence". The suspect was sentenced to 4 years and 8 months in prison.
Perlinčević lives in Shtërpce, and he passed the Jurisprudence exam in Belgrade. She has been working as a prosecutor since 2012.
Naim Murseli, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava, who are suspected of murdering Liridona Ademaj, have been sent to different prisons. Regarding Plava, there was also an attempt to attack him in prison last week.
