The Foreign Minister of North Macedonia and Chairman of the OSCE, Bujar Osmani, presented today in Skopje to the heads of the OSCE mission in Kosovo, Serbia and North Macedonia a several-point plan for the expansion of the situation in the north of Kosovo. .
The plan is, in fact, identical to the European Union's roadmap supported by the United States. Mr. Osmani says that his country is quite active in promoting dialogue and reducing tensions due to the risk of irreparable damage to the region.
The head of diplomacy in Skopje hopes that a nine-point roadmap or plan will be implemented by the parties; although this 'guideline' does not differ much from the demands that Brussels and Washington have presented to Kosovo and Serbia.
"Kosovo and Serbia reaffirm their commitment to the implementation of the Brussels basic agreement and the Ohrid annex. Dialogue has no alternative, agreements must be implemented. Any non-implementation of the agreements reached, only loses the trust between the parties and thus further tenses the situation. Other points of the guide are directly related to the escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo and mean: the immediate withdrawal of the Kosovo special forces from the north of Kosovo, which means that the regular police together with KFOR and other organizations maintain order in the north. However, Serbia should reduce the level of military readiness in the north of Kosovo.
