The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army, Milan Mojsilovic, denied the accusations of the Kosovo authorities that Serbia, through the attack in Banjska, aimed to annex the north of Kosovo.
"The Serbian army is a serious, strong organization that does not tolerate lies ," Mojsilovic said at a press conference in Belgrade.
"I deny all the accusations made by Pristina" , he emphasized.
The Interior Minister of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, said on Sunday that Serbia has planned the annexation of the north of Kosovo, through the attack in Banjska. On September 24, the Kosovo police was attacked by an armed group in this village of Zveçan municipality, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed. In the exchange of fire that followed, three attackers of Serbian nationality were also killed.
Sveçla said that Kosovo has evidence that armed groups have been prepared and trained at the military training base near Jagodina in Serbia, as well as in Kopaonik. Photographs and videos were also published, which, according to the Kosovo police, were recorded by drones and seized by the armed group in Banjska.
Serbia denies Kosovo's accusations that it is involved in this attack, which the Kosovar authorities described as a terrorist act. The responsibility for it was taken by Millan Radoicic, who has been the vice president of Lista Serbe, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo. Mojsilovic denied that Radoicic participated in training at the "Pasulanske Livade" base, near Jagodina, in central Serbia. /REL
