In an interview for a local radio, he said that in this way a direct confrontation between the armies of Kosovo and Serbia can be prevented.
"There have been similar situations before, without the NATO troops there, the conflict would have spread. First, there would have been a direct confrontation between the armies and the police of Serbia and Kosovo, and then this would have spread to the surroundings," said Pendarovski.
What happened in the north of Kosovo?
A member of the Kosovo Police was killed and 3 were injured in clashes with an armed group in the north of the country. Sergeant Bunjaku was killed in the ambush that the armed group took early in the morning at the entrance to the village of Banjské in Zveçan. During the exchange of fire, 2 other policemen were injured.

In the evening, the interior minister of Kosovo declared that 4 attackers were killed. The three bodies of the Serbs were found on the same day, while the fourth one a day later. Meanwhile, six other people, who were suspected to be related to them, were arrested. A large amount of weaponry was also seized.
