According to Vetëvendosje, Rama was among the biggest lobbyists for Speciale and had come by helicopter to Kosovo to convince Hashim Thaçi and the other parties.
A nationwide protest in support of former KLA leaders will be held at "Skënderbej" Square in Tirana on Friday, September 17, at 5:00 PM.
In this regard, the Vetëvendosje Movement has made a reaction on social networks regarding the protest that will be held tomorrow, where citizens will take to the streets and demand justice for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
While summarizing the events that led to the establishment of the Special Court, Vetëvendosje writes that many of the politicians who are against it today were the biggest lobbyists for its creation, mentioning Prime Minister Edi Rama here.
"We recall that the Special Court did not come about on its own, but began in 2008 from a resolution proposed to the Council of Europe by the chairman of the deputies of the Russian Federation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Konstantin Kosachev, but which was adopted as a resolution at the proposal of Senator Dick Marty in 2011.
However, for our sincere progress as a state and as a nation, we must definitely reflect on our positions towards this Court at the time it was established. Reflection is not wrong, but in this regard, many of those who today oppose the Special Court were yesterday the biggest lobbyists for its establishment. Before protesting, these actors and politicians must show at least a minimum of remorse for their wrong positions in the past.
A clear example is the current Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, who even came to Kosovo on an emergency visit by helicopter to convince the parties here to vote in favor of establishing this Court," reads, among other things, the reaction of the Vetëvendosje Movement, which also requests help from Albania to raise this issue with international institutions.
According to LVV, Albania, as a member state of the UN, NATO and the Council of Europe, has the opportunity to raise this issue in international forums, and it is ironic that the protest in Skanderbeg Square does not replace institutional responsibilities.
"On the other hand, the institutions of Albania have a responsibility to raise this issue where justice is discussed and decided, and not in 'Skënderbe' Square in Tirana," concludes the LVV's reaction.
Prime Minister Rama, in the international forums he is participating in, has criticized the Special Court, saying that a great injustice is being done to Kosovo.
So far, he has spoken about this injustice at the UN General Assembly, the Council of Europe Assembly, and at various summits of European leaders.
In his address, Rama asked the Council of Europe to remove Dick Marty's report, which alleges organ trafficking by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
He has demanded that the Council of Europe "withdraw the report against the KLA for organ trafficking."
