Security expert, Ilir Kulla, has spoken about the issue of banning the dinar in Kosovo, suggesting that in fact the US is not against it.
According to him, the objection that America has is the fact that the decision should have been consulted before it was taken.
Showing how many dinars circulate in Kosovo, Kulla explained that in one year in Kosovo, 1 billion and 200 million euros in dinars circulate in Kosovo, which means 1/20 of the economy of Kosovo.
He also said that during the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbia is gradually leaving Kosovo.
"The KSF parade today, on the 16th anniversary of Independence, which did not take place, is a wise move, which should also be consulted with international partners. Apparently, he wanted to send the message that Kosovo does not want war, in order not to ignite tensions, so they left today simply as a day of celebration, without other burdens.
The US does not dispute the decision on the dinar, but the fact that the government was not consulted. If from 2010 to 2020 we have the reintroduction of Serbia in Kosovo, now in the era of Kurt we have the exit of Serbia from Kosovo little by little.
In its own economy, approximately 1 billion and 200 million euros are injected into Kosovo per year in dinars. That is, 1/20 of Kosovo's economy. "Kosovo is not saying that Serbia should not help them, but it is saying that they should be exchanged for the Euro, which is both the national and international currency," said Kulla in an interview for Euronews.
