The explosion in Zubin Patok, Ambassador Hovenier: We don't know who is behind it!

The ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has stated that the USA is not able to say who is behind the attack on the Ibër-Lepenci channel in Varaga of Zubin-Potoku. He emphasized that he does not rule out any group or state that could have been responsible for this attack.

After the meeting held with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Hovenier once again guaranteed US support for Kosovo's institutions.

"At this point, the United States is unable to say who is behind the attack. It is too early for that and these things require careful investigation. What I can say is that the institutions of Kosovo have our support. Also I am not able to exclude any group, country or anything else. It's too early, we don't know yet",  said Hovenier.

A powerful explosion on the evening of November 29 caused damage to the water supply channel of Ibër-Lepenci in Kosovo, which serves to supply the local population with water, but also for electricity.

Prime Minister Kurti accused Serbia of being the cause of what he considers a terrorist attack.
