Advisor to the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, Kreshnik Çollaku, has assessed as extremely important the presence and attention paid to Kosovo in the international arena, describing this as a very positive development for Albania as well.

According to Çollaku, the fact that both Kosovo and Albania have received invitations to be part of important international processes and forums shows that the two Albanian states are being seen as strategic factors in the Balkans.

"It is very good news that Albania also received an invitation. Two countries, two Albanian states with an invitation, is a clear signal for their role in the region," he told News24.

He emphasized that Kosovo represents a model that can be projected as an example of peace after an armed conflict.

"Kosovo is a democratic state. Democratic standards are measured by the way in which deadlocks are resolved. When there is a political deadlock, elections are held. Elections are solutions and we should not diminish these values in Kosovo," said Çollaku.

Speaking about Pristina's international ambitions, he emphasized that Kosovo is working intensively for membership in the United Nations, with the aim of making the Russian veto impossible.

"The presence of Kosovo is very important. The attention paid to Kosovo was extraordinary. It was very good news that Albania also received an invitation."

The fact that two countries, two Albanian states, have an invitation is good news for those who see these countries as strategic factors in the Balkans.

It is a model that will project as an example to the world, that will reflect peace after an armed conflict. Kosovo is such an example.

It is a democratic state. Democratic standards are distinguished in a country by how deadlocks are resolved. When there is a political deadlock, elections are held. Elections are a solution. Let's not diminish these values for Kosovo. Kosovo is working for recognition in the UN and will make the Russian veto impossible. In all likelihood, we will achieve it, Kosovo has no obligation to pay to be on the Peace Board", he said.
