Kosovo on the Peace Board, Kurti reacts: We will contribute to anyone in need!

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that Kosovo wants to contribute to peace in the world wherever it is needed.

He also commented on Kosovo's participation in the Peace Board, an initiative of US President Donald Trump as part of the plan to rebuild war-torn Gaza. Through this board, the United States aims to resolve global conflicts.

Kurti stated that Kosovo's participation is a continuation of the contribution to Gaza, starting with participation in the International Stabilization Force, through the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

Kurti referred to the KSF's participation in a conference organized in December 2025 in Doha, Qatar, by the United States Central Command to discuss the International Stabilization Force.

"That's why we were interested in participating in political decision-making bodies," Kurti said, among other things.

According to him, one of the reasons why Kosovo participates in such initiatives is because it itself has been a beneficiary of peace through the intervention of international forces.

"Regarding Gaza, you know that we have allocated half a million euros as a Government and this is a process that will continue in the future," Kurti stressed.

The Peace Board was established on January 22 in Davos, Switzerland, in the presence of President Trump. Kosovo was represented by President Vjosa Osmani.

This mechanism will oversee the leadership of the Gaza Strip, after the United States brokered a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas - the Palestinian group declared a terrorist organization by Washington and the European Union.

The war between Israel and Hamas began in October 2023, after Hamas killed over 1,200 people in Israel and took hundreds of hostages. Israeli retaliatory attacks on Gaza have caused thousands of deaths, a famine, and extensive damage to infrastructure.
