The United States of America seems to be taking control of the situation in the north of Kosovo, not allowing any scenario of destabilization.
The two officials of the Serbian List, Igor and Slavko Simic, have been in Washington since the middle of the week. They started their visit to the USA with a meeting at the State Department with the Deputy Assistant Secretary and Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Gabriel. Escobar.
According to "Danas", diplomatic sources speculate that the visit of the two Simics to Washington could be a signal that the US is taking care that the new elections in the North do not fail.
Although the Serbian List is the extended arm of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić in Kosovo, in Western political circles it is unofficially estimated that Washington takes care of some kind of "selection" or "separation" of its officials, who are on the "black list ” of the USA.
So since the Serbian List is the one that is creating the problems in the North, the US is negotiating directly with its own people, not giving a free hand to Vučić, who is willingly or unwillingly playing the Russian game in the North.
Another strong development is that in the defense fiscal bill, the Senate has inserted a provision, enabling military aid to the Region to avoid destabilization. The article was proposed by Senator Jeanne Shaheen.
" Senator Shaheen helped pass a provision that will expand the Department of Defense's authority to train partner Eastern European military forces as part of multilateral exercises, allowing for the participation of Kosovo's military forces.
