The vice president of the LDK, Lutfi Haziri, has stated that the north of Kosovo risks being placed in a military and civil administration due to the behavior of the Kurti government.
In an interview for "Abc News", he said that the government has lost its legitimacy and this, according to him, is proven by the addition of KFOR forces.
" The government, which is behaving in this way, clearly shows that it has no plan on how to get out of this situation. We do not have an agenda for holding elections in the four northern municipalities, we do not have a detailed plan for ending the boycott of Serbs in these municipalities, we have no way to manage eventual situations in worsening circumstances, and on the other hand we have the growth of KFOR- it.
They received new authorizations without asking anyone, and in addition to performing security duties, they also replace the role of the special police in circumstances that may worsen. Practically, not even Mr. Kurti and his ministers can go to any municipality in the north without the permission of KFOR.
And in the name of sovereignty, they have lost a kind of legitimacy for the exercise of regular day-to-day duties as representatives of the executive. The biggest risk is that the country will potentially be placed in a military and civil administration and the role of the Kosovo government will be severed because Kurti's nervousness yesterday, his ambiguity and the way he blames Brussels for the failure of the talks clearly shows that it is worsening our entire role in the exercise of sovereignty in these four municipalities in the north of Kosovo ", Haziri emphasized.
Haziri emphasized that the most realistic option to get out of the impasse in which Albin Kurti has put Kosovo is early elections.
" As long as the opposition does not have the opportunity to organize a motion for the overthrow of the government, then the dissolution by agreement can be an option or the resignation of the prime minister. In no circumstances where VV has a role to unlock the situation, they do not participate. In domestic politics we have total failure, in the economy, social issues, education, health are blocked.
We can equate internal failure with failure in dialogue and there is no perspective. The option of early elections remains the most realistic option to get out of this situation" , he emphasized.
