President Vjosa Osmani will address the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) regarding the new electricity tariffs in the country, which will be reviewed by this regulator, and which could potentially come into effect in April of this year.
The three companies dealing with electricity in Kosovo (KOSTT, KEDS and KESCO) have submitted their applications for maximum allowed revenues, requesting an increase in them, which translated into a percentage, means they have requested about a 20% increase in the price of electricity in Kosovo.
Bekim Kupina, media advisor to President Osmani, told RTKLive that "the Presidency's position will remain the same, if there are changes or increases in tariffs."
"In the event that there are changes or increases in tariffs, our position will remain the same, as it has been in every case when the issue of price increases has been under discussion."
"As soon as the call for comments opens, we will submit our comments as in previous years, guided by public interest ," said Kupina.
