The Kosovo Police has arrested two officials of the Cadastre Department in the Municipality of Graçanica after they are accused of committing corruption and abusing their duties.
The mayor of the municipality Liljana Shubarič announced the news but did not give many details about their arrest. She stated that it is about "actions undertaken individually" by certain persons.
The municipality of Graçanica is one of the six municipalities with a Serbian majority south of the Ibër River.
"There will be investigations and we do not want to speculate further on future procedures. When we receive detailed information, you will be notified", Shubaric told the media.
The Kosovo police have not yet provided details of the arrest, nor have they responded to requests for information regarding the handcuffing of officials in the municipality of Graçanica.
