Edmond Arapi had imposed a fine of 100 thousand euros on the Italian Roberto del Gaido and threatened several times that if he did not pay, he would be in danger, but the Italian himself had refused. It is suspected that the hefty fine was imposed due to some labor conflict.
The only one who spoke to the investigators about the amount of explosives placed in the device is the 16-year-old, who said that Edmond Arapi paid him for placing the tritol.
