A year after the murder in Ferizaj, where the brother of the Kosovar rapper, Betim Januzit, known by the nickname Buta, was involved, new details have come to light. Buta was the next witness in today's session, where brother Qendrim Januzi is accused of murder.
Buta said that the car was his and not his brother's and indicated that the same car was burned 3-4 months before this incident happened. The rapper also pointed out that on the day of the murder he had a concert in Prizren, where he had been together with his brother Qendirim, who also had the role of manager, while after midnight they had returned to Ferizaj.
"Regarding the case of the burning of the car, the media have alluded to this part a lot, this is more of a media issue, because I have the insured car behind me and it burned 3-4 months before the incident. A long time has passed since the time of the burning of the car, my brother Qendrim has said that the now deceased was one of the possible people who set the car on fire, but this was never found by the police, so it is unlikely to be the motive, the car was mine, my brother it was not damaged, the burning of the car was not the motive" , said Buta.
Further during the testimony, Buta confessed that after returning from the concert, he went home while his brother did not, and as he heard the shots, he was notified on the phone by a friend of his. As for the victim, the rapper said that he had a friend and that he had taken him to concerts, while he believes that the starting point of the deceased's quarrel was the non-payment of some money that the victim had asked for.
"After 10-15 minutes I left the apartment to buy cigarettes and as soon as I came out I heard gunshots and police sirens, at that moment Yll Islami, who is my friend, called me on the phone. The same person told me on the way to the hospital that something had happened to Qendrim, I took the car and headed towards the hospital. I knew the victim, I have him as a friend, I took him to my concerts and paid him, for the last two years he has felt neglected by me. Initially, there was a case where the same person asked me for money for a case of his that he had in court, the witness said, and I did not give it to him", Buta said.
According to the witness Buta, they did not report the threats to the Police, as they were afraid of the victim.
"Regarding the threats that came from him, we did not report them to the Police, since we were afraid of him, since he has threatened us with death many times", the witness Buta confessed .
The event took place on May 28, 2022, where Buta's brother, Qëndrim Januzi, is accused of killing the artist's former close friend, 30-year-old Gazmend Hyseni, known by the nickname Strella.
