American actress, singer and songwriter Alix Lapri was arrested in Georgia on charges of 'third-degree child cruelty and disorderly conduct'.
Lapri, who is known for her role as Josefina Effie Morales in the series "Power," was arrested on August 18, but news of this only recently reached the public.
She was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where she spent just over 24 hours, before being released on August 19.
Under Georgia law, third-degree child cruelty is considered a misdemeanor and includes allowing a child under the age of 18 to witness, see, or hear a person accused of committing a crime, physical assault, or domestic violence.
Born in Kansas, Lapri began her music career in the 1990s and early 2000s.
In 2011, he signed a contract with Crown World Entertainment and after that he began acting.
He played roles in the series "Reed Between the Lines" and "Standing Up".
She is best known for her role in "Power", which was co-produced by rapper 50 Cent.
Lapri also appeared in the sequel to the series, "Power Book II: Ghost".
