American Vogue is preparing for a major editorial shake-up. Chloe Malle, 39, currently an editor at Vogue.com, has reportedly been named the magazine's new head of editorial content, taking on the role that will see her oversee Vogue's day-to-day operations across all platforms. The news is expected to be announced soon, reports Lauren Sherman of Puck.
The change follows Anna Wintour's announcement in June that she would step down as editor-in-chief of US Vogue. However, the fashion legend, who has been editor-in-chief since 1988, will continue to serve as Condé Nast's chief content officer and global editorial director of Vogue, providing continuity and strategic direction globally.
Wintour has emphasized the importance of continuous growth in the creative field, advising her staff to never stop improving their work. “When I became editor of Vogue, I was eager to show everyone a new and exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine,” she said during a staff meeting.
Chloe Malle, known for her modern vision and experience in online content, is expected to bring freshness and innovation to Vogue US, maintaining the magazine's celebrated tradition and preparing it for the challenges of fashion media in the next decade.
