More than two decades after her death, Princess Diana is still considered a fashion icon. Her granddaughters, Amelia and Eliza Spencer, showed in Venice that style and elegance can truly be hereditary.
At the Venice Film Festival, at the premiere of the film "After The Hunt" with Julia Roberts, the sisters appeared in transparent pastel-colored creations by the Australian brand Capellazzo Atelier.
Their appearance on the red carpet caused a storm of comments, as many noted that their choice was reminiscent of the legendary style worn by the Princess of Wales in 1987 at the Cannes Film Festival.
Then Diana wore a strapless silk dress by Catherine Walker and an elegant scarf that fluttered in the wind, a look inspired by Grace Kelly in the film "Catch a Thief."
Eliza now chose a blue version with a cape tied around her neck and white lace underwear under the corset, while she gathered her hair into a bun and adorned it with diamond and sapphire jewelry.
Amelia chose a romantic version in powder pink, with a cape draped over the front of the dress and a statement vine-inspired necklace.
The tulle dresses were so airy that they discreetly revealed Intimissimi's underwear, which further emphasized the femininity and softness of their releases.
The sisters' appearance coincided with the anniversary of Diana's death, so their tribute to their famous aunt's fashion legacy was even more emotional.
This isn't the first time the twins have made an impression with coordinated fashion outings. Back in May, they wore complementary black and white creations to the Cannes Film Festival, while in 2021 they chose boldly colored Alberto Ferretti gowns for their first red carpet appearance in Venice.
