The man accused of killing Tupac Shakur appeared in court yesterday (October 4) for the first time. Duane 'Keffe D' Davis was arrested last week as part of the investigation into the rapper's 1996 murder.
At yesterday's hearing, the 60-year-old appeared before Judge Tierra Jones and said his lawyer asked for the hearing to be adjourned. The judge accepted the request, which means he will be back in court again on October 19.
Davis was escorted through heavy security to the Court, wearing a blue T-shirt and matching trousers. He will remain in custody until his next court date.
Shakur was 25 years old when he was shot near the Las Vegas Strip on the night of September 7, 1996. The rap star was traveling in a BMW when one or more people in a Cadillac opened fire on him.
