A 'drunk' man was dragged off a plane after allegedly assaulting a cabin crew member and refusing to hand over a bottle filled with alcohol.
According to foreign media, the man was on flight TOM778 from Glasgow to Antalya in Turkey, which departed at 5.15pm on Friday.
One passenger said he was drunk when he boarded with his partner and became "verbally abusive" when asked to hand over the alcohol.
He also reportedly assaulted a flight attendant.
It is further said that less than an hour after take off, it was announced that the flight was diverting to Newcastle Airport, where police removed the man from the plane.
Video footage shows him being dragged away by officers as frustrated passengers look on.
Holidaymakers arrived in Antalya more than five hours later than planned.
