The public spat between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has drawn widespread attention on social media, prompting reactions from people close to Musk's private life. Among them was Ashley St. Clair, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of a son he reportedly has with the billionaire.
St. Clair posted on the X platform (formerly Twitter) an ironic message to the former US president: "Hey @realDonaldTrump, let me know if you need breakup advice," sarcastically referring to the deteriorating relationship between Musk and Trump.
The conflict between them has deepened recently, after Musk publicly criticized Trump's proposed budget plan, claiming that without his support, Republicans would not have won the election. "Without me, Trump would have lost the election... such ingratitude," Musk wrote in a post that was later deleted.
The billionaire went further, hinting that Trump's name is on yet-to-be-released documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. "That's the real reason they haven't been released," he said, fueling even more speculation.
Meanwhile, Ashley St. Clair has been in the news herself after she revealed in April that she had turned down a $15 million offer from Musk to keep their son, Romulus St. Clair, a secret. She said the offer also included a $100,000 monthly payment until the child turned 21, but she declined, saying she "didn't want the boy to feel like a secret."
