'Crazy' fan interrupts 'The Weeknd' concert, bodyguard intervenes (Video)

The Weeknd's concert in Melbourne took an unexpected turn on Saturday night when a fan pounced on the singer mid-performance for a hug.

The Canadian superstar, 34, was about an hour into his set when a fan, known as Pajama Man, came on stage to try to hug him.

Footage shows The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, walking away before security quickly intervened and escorted the individual off stage.

Despite the interruption, he continued his concert without further incident.
