Zelensky cuts short visit to Ireland, Ukrainian intelligence warns of massive

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky cut short his visit to Dublin on Wednesday, warning that the Kremlin will soon launch a new large-scale attack on Ukraine.

Zelensky was attending the first day of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and, during a press conference with Taoiseach Micheál Martin, told reporters that he would be leaving Ireland immediately.

" We know that Putin has been preparing this massive attack against Ukraine for a long time. Tonight, this is the threat we are facing ," Zelensky said, warning his citizens to heed airstrike alerts.

He thanked his Irish counterpart, emphasizing that throughout all these years of this war, there has been continuous support from Ireland, despite the country's long-standing policy of military neutrality.

In late May and early June, the Kremlin launched massive air strikes on Ukraine, killing more than 14 people and wounding many more. In recent months, Kiev has struggled to defend itself against Russian ballistic missiles, especially as it runs out of American-made Patriot interceptor missiles.
