Forbes' ranking of the world's billionaires remains predominantly male, but the percentage of women on the list continues to rise. This year, 481 of the world's 3,428 billionaires are women, or 14% of the total, up from 13.4% a year ago.
At the top of the list for the second year in a row is Alice Walton, the heiress of Walmart, with an estimated fortune of $134 billion. She is followed by:
Françoise Bettencourt Meyers with $100 billion,
Julia Koch with $81.2 billion,
Iris Fontbona with $52.6 billion,
Jacqueline Mars with $49.1 billion.
The only self-made woman, who has built her own fortune, is the Swiss Rafaela Aponte-Diamant with $44.5 billion. This category also includes names like Beyonce, Rihanna, Sara Blakely and Taylor Swift.
A new entry on the list is Luana Lopes Lara from Brazil, co-founder of Kalshi, who at 29 years old is the youngest self-made woman in the world.

The percentage of women on this list may still seem low, but the number of self-made female billionaires is growing rapidly, showing that more and more women are achieving success through hard work and innovation.
