Renowned actor Pat Finn, who debuted in the famous series 'Friends', has died at the age of 60 after a battle with cancer.
The actor died at his home in Los Angeles on Monday, December 22, after undergoing cancer treatment since 2022. His family announced his death in a post on social media. “Pat never met a stranger, only friends he didn’t know yet. He lived his life to the fullest, with joy and excitement,” the family said.
Pat Finn was born in Evanston, Illinois, and attended Marquette University, where he played football with the late “SNL” star Chris Farley. The two became close friends and even lived together in Chicago when they joined the comedy troupe Second City.
One of his first roles was as Dan Coleman on “The George Wendt Show.” The CBS sitcom was canceled after just six episodes in 1995.
Finn went on to appear on “Murphy Brown,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “That '70s Show.” In 1998, he played Joe Mayo on “Seinfeld,” and in 2000, he appeared in two episodes of “Friends” as Dr. Roger, Monica’s (Courteney Cox) boyfriend.
His other television credits include, among others, the series “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” “House,” “Marvin Marvin,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “The Goldbergs.”
