A popular TikTok model in the US is accused of flaunting clothes stolen from a Florida supermarket online as she has been arrested for a second time stealing from the same store.
Marlena Velez, 22, made headlines last month for her arrest after she stole 16 items worth about $500 from a Target store — before being identified by her TikTok videos, which she shared to her 400,000 followers.
She now faces additional robbery charges after being arrested Sunday for shoplifting from the same store, local network NBC 2 reports.
Police said Velez changed clothing identification codes at the store's checkout counter, making off with about $225 worth of clothing and household items.
In her TikTok videos, she recorded herself taking the clothes in the car, which led to identification by the authorities.
The TikTok model has several criminal precedents, including the 2019 incident when she was arrested for stealing her friend's car, which she had crashed, writes the local New York Post network.
