Recently, numerous abuses have been noticed with fines being imposed on citizens' cars without any right. In fact, a few nights ago, moderator Saimir Kodra confessed on the show 'Stop' how, coming from Elbasan, in a kilometer-long queue of cars, he saw a traffic policeman who was imposing fines without any right and filling the block full.
This injustice has also affected moderator Dajana Shabani, who shows in a video on Story that she received a fine in the city of Korça, on two different dates (the same fine), while she was not in the southeastern city on any of the dates listed on the fine sheets:
"The imposition of unjust fines must end. I have special respect for the police uniform, especially the road police uniform because they are in the middle of the rain and in the middle of the sun. But, I was surprised by a fine of 500 thousand old lekë. The same fine in Korça on December 5, 2023 and on January 17, 2024. First, make up your mind on which date, because it is the same fine. Second, on none of these dates have I been in Korça and have not received a fine for speeding. Therefore, the imposition of unjust fines must end. All citizens complain about the same mistake that the Police makes: imposing fines when citizens are not at all in that place. I call on the Traffic Police, the State Police, the Ministry of Interior", concludes the moderator's appeal. / Pamphlet
