The well-known Albanian singer Naser Berisha has confessed his struggle with the rare disease, alopecia. Invited to "S'e luan topi", Naser Berisha showed that his fight with the rare disease has been very difficult. Berisha says that at the beginning of the disease, he was transformed, not only in appearance. He even adds that he closed in on himself and began to stop going out in public, singing or writing lyrics.
Erjona Rusi: You are faced with a fortunately non-dangerous disease and it has affected you intentionally or unintentionally, we are talking about alopecia, the consequence of which is hair loss. How has this battle with alopecia been?
Naser Berisha: It was twofold for me. Physically I changed a lot, this made me withdraw from music as well. In 2007 I had this disease and then I retired. I had this disease again at the age of 17 but then it lasted only 6 months and my hair came back again. When you are young the immune system copes with it and overcomes it.
I waited, I thought they would come back but they didn't, I rested so much that I didn't go back to music because I couldn't find myself anymore. On the emotional side, I was spiritually broken, I had no will to write songs or make music, but also to appear in front of the public with that physical appearance. Over time, he accepts the fate and the disease. You start writing again and singing again little by little. Despite the physical change, I was the same, the voice had not changed, the same talent and person.
