Princess Kate Middleton will attend Sunday's Wimbledon final and hand out the winning trophy, according to an announcement from Kensington Palace.
Previously, it was discussed whether Princess Kate would be able to perform her duty, all this depending on her health condition. It was also reported who would replace the princess if she could not. According to reports, it was planned that the Duchess of Gloucester, Brigitte, would take over this task.
Princess Kate's parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, were also seen at Wimbledon these days, but their daughter was not with them. The princess is a huge fan of tennis, loves to play it and has been to every Wimbledon final since 2011, when she married Prince William.
On Sunday, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will face each other in the Wimbledon final. The final will start at 15:00.
We remember that Princess Kate Middleton announced a few months ago that she suffers from cancer and appeared for the first time in public in mid-June, after Christmas.
At the time, she attended the Trooping the Color event along with other members of the royal family and appeared on the famous balcony of Buckingham Palace. The audience couldn't wait for the princess to appear again.
