The 42nd consecutive protest against the government and the political class continued with speeches by citizens and public figures in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Among them was actor Mehdi Malkaj, who leveled accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that the government has not fulfilled the promises with which it gained the trust of the citizens.
In his speech, Malkaj focused on promises for healthcare, education, and pensioners, asking where the commitments made by the government have gone.
" Have you noticed that the prime minister says: 'I will see it through to the end, because I have a contract'? In the contract we made together, he said free medicine. Where is it? Where is the model education? The pensioners who would benefit, where are they? Where does he find the right to tell us what we will do? ", the actor said.
Malkaj called on the Prime Minister to stand up to citizens and be accountable for his governance.
" Let him come here and let us show him who he is. We are the brave Albanian people. We have killed fear ," he declared, as his words were accompanied by applause and cheers from the protesters.
The rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office took place as part of the 42nd day of protests, which, according to the organizers, will continue until the main demand for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change in the political system in the country is met.
