Activist Edison Lika mocked the government, stating that state institutions were more committed to the Kanye West concert than to solving citizens' problems.
During the speech given at the 42nd protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, Lika stated that even public transport buses, which are absent from daily service to citizens, were made available for organizing the activity.
He also criticized the use of public funds, noting that the government added another 4 million euros to the financing for the concert. Lika stated that the protest gathered more citizens than the activity in question.
At the end of his speech, the activist stated that "free Albanians" had gathered in the square, while he repeated his call for Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign.
"Today the entire state is at the service of Kanye West. The buses that never come to the citizens were named Kanye West. Transportation is never there for the citizens. As if the money wasn't enough, our government added 4 million euros and yet this square has much more than that. In this square, free Albanians sing the song of our freedom. Rama resign ," said Edison Lika.
