Jose Mourinho has no intention of compromising. According to reports from Spain, the Portuguese coach wants to have full control over every decision related to the team, but this could immediately put him at odds with president Florentino Perez.
The first disagreement between them is related to Antonio Pintus, the head of physical training at Real Madrid. Mourinho does not see him as part of his project and wants to replace him with Antonio Dias, the Benfica specialist, who is appreciated for his excellent work in the physical aspect and the low number of injuries at the Portuguese team.
However, the decision is not expected to be easy. Perez has shown before that he does not give up on his people easily. A precedent also exists with Xabi Alonso, who had requested the departure of Pintu, but the Madrid president refused to dismiss him, causing the Spanish coach to continue his collaboration with him.
It now remains to be seen whether Florentino Perez will give Mourinho the freedom to build his staff as he sees fit, or whether he will stick to the same line as in the past. If the latter happens, the first clash between two of Real Madrid's strongmen could be just the beginning.
